Universal Sprouting Bag in Untreated Hemp

Description: 18 cm x 24 cm sprouting bag made from hemp, grown on organic land, without treatments. The weaving is not done in a certified organic building, so the bag is not certified organic. Marketed since 1979 in the USA:

    > Ideal for hiking, traveling, boating, camping, small kitchens.
    > Hemp naturally allows air and water to pass through.

    • Quick: Soak the bag under a tap or in a container, drain, pour your pre-soaked seeds, and hang the bag. Two daily rinses and you're done!
    • Durable: Variety of hemp used for the robustness of its fibers, as strong wet as dry.
    • For which seeds? All seeds can be used, except mucilaginous seeds.
    • Advantages: Portable. Robust. Lightweight. Durable. Economical. Recyclable. Stays moist but not soaked. Versatile: can also be used to make raw nut milks.

    Instructions:

    1. Rinse your bag.
    2. Soak your seeds for 8 to 12 hours (ideally overnight) before pouring them into the sprouting bag.
    3. Rinse your bag, insert your seeds inside, close the bag using the closure.
    4. Hang your bag for draining, avoiding the sun. Do not lay your bag down, as it would greatly reduce air circulation.
    5. Rinse your bag at least 2 times a day (every 12 hours), the runoff water should be very clear. If it's hot and/or dry, a third rinse will be welcome. Gently massage your seeds during rinsing to prevent them from rooting in the fabric.

Precautions and cleaning: do not use a hard brush, detergent, or chemicals. To clean your bag, turn it inside out and wash it under hot water with a clean sponge. If you need to sterilize your bag (if the harvests are lost from one time to another, for example), place it for 3 minutes in a container with freshly boiled water, but not directly in a pot.
