Ecocert and Natrue certified Ghassoul for the body and hair

A few years ago, during a stay in an ecovillage, Eric discovered that he could give up using organic shampoo with its plastic packaging and its endless list of ingredients in Latin, which are incomprehensible to most people.
On the advice of one of the locals, he used ghassoul clay with amazement and pleasure, a single product that is very simple to use, store, and transport. Ghassoul also very advantageously replaces soap and provides incredible softness to hair and skin because its function is completely different from a detergent (shampoo or soap).

🧼 Strip the skin and hair or nourish them ?

What is offered to us in terms of mass consumption, whether organic or not, is to regularly cleanse (strip!) our skin and hair with detergents that destroy the first protective barrier of our body, the very thin hydrolipidic film on the surface of the skin. One of its functions is to protect the skin against the sun, wind, external toxins, and also dehydration from the inside out. This film is the first agent of the epidermis's immune system.

    structure de la peau

Detergents will also, at the same time, alter the skin ecosystem by modifying the pH in particular and cause disruptions in the saprophytic flora, attack the stratum corneum of the epidermis, and allow water and various other substances contained in the detergent product used, whether it is soap or shampoo, to penetrate deeper into the epidermis. Some of these substances will have a beneficial effect, while others will damage the epidermis or be toxic, allergenic, or dehydrating.
Sensitive skin knows it well... We are then advised to moisturize our skin with moisturizing creams, a solution to the problem we create from scratch !

How many normal skins have become dry due to being stripped? The removal of the hydrolipidic film indeed causes dehydration that can be felt as soon as the skin is dry: a sensation of dry, tight skin.

Ghassoul, on the other hand, absorbs impurities and carries them away during rinsing. It does not affect the hydrolipidic film of the skin or hair.

     🧼 Instructions for use

Ghassoul in flakes is used as is, pure with water. For your shampoo, if you wish, you can of course add a drop of essential oil to your preparation, depending on your hair profile (see suggestions below).

Prepare a container that will close hermetically for your shower or bath, in which you will put an equal amount of Ghassoul and water. The flakes will quickly dissolve to form a homogeneous paste that you can use immediately by applying it to your hair or using the obtained paste as a liquid soap.

Ghassoul has the ability to bind fats and impurities in aqueous environments by absorbing them like a sponge.
Containing no surfactants, it does not have the disadvantage, like these detergents, of stripping away the first protective layer, the hydrolipidic film present on the skin and hair, and therefore does not irritate the sebaceous glands. Your skin or hair is cleaned without being damaged.

Associated with the Middle East and the ritual of the hammam, Ghassoul is a volcanic clay that is harvested in the Middle Atlas range in Morocco.
The Ghassoul company extracts this precious material from a semi-desert region, the Moulouya Valley, protected from all impurities and pollution of heavily urbanized areas. The socially responsible company has established a true ecosystem of life for its employees, providing them with all the comfort and well-being they need in this region of Morocco.

The ghassoul extracted from underground galleries is washed, sorted, dried under the summer sun, and then packaged. In this way, a product of great purity is obtained.
