• Castor oil is somewhat of an "all-purpose oil" that will assist you in a multitude of treatments

- with over 80% ricinoleic acid, a monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid that prevents the action of a protein (prostaglandin B2) responsible for hair loss

- stearic acid with emollient, nourishing, and protective properties

- linoleic acid - whose name comes from linseed oil - which contributes to the synthesis of skin cell membranes and helps limit water loss that causes skin dryness. This acid has emollient, emulsifying, and cleansing powers.

• Also useful for reducing children's coughs, an old remedy suggests massaging them with this oil and a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil. Castor oil will activate lymph circulation and strengthen the immune system.
