And as the icing on the cake, this unique fusion creates a nutritional synergy to energize your body!
Nettle leaves: nettle's excellent nutritional value, whether used in teas or powders, is well known. Rich in iron, proteins, antioxidants, calcium, potassium, silica... it's known for treating anemia, acne, eczema, and even kidney stones. It relieves painful menstruation and prostate issues, in short, a plant to keep in your cupboard for all occasions.
Sprouted fenugreek: known for its diuretic effects and liver protection, this unique-tasting small seed also supports your immune system and stimulates your appetite.
Activated buckwheat: buckwheat seeds have been sprouted before being dehydrated at a low temperature (=activated), allowing them to be consumed raw. Sprouting also activates their nutritional potential for plant growth, providing a wealth of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes, etc., much more than when in "sleep" mode.
Hemp seeds: rich in very complete plant proteins that include all 8 essential amino acids and have a slight nutty taste.
Ginger and turmeric: prepared by Croc'en Vie from fresh ginger and turmeric, long dehydrated at 42°C to preserve their properties and nutrients, then ground into powder. Used together, the synergy of their active ingredients enhances their respective benefits: antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Dehydrated seaweeds: the quintessential superfood for vegetarian and vegan diets! With their richness in vitamins, minerals (especially iodine), and proteins, it was clear they would be included in this mix.
🥣 How is it made?
This preparation is crafted in Brittany, respecting the principles of living food, using only organic products. Buckwheat, sunflower, and fenugreek seeds are first sprouted then dehydrated at 42°C. Low-temperature dehydration (<42°C) preserves the active ingredients of all these ingredients. This vegetable crunch mix is a concentrated source of energy, macro and micronutrients, essential trace elements, and of course, flavors.
Tigernut is a superior source of omega-9 compared to olive oil! Alkalizing, remineralizing, and energizing, tigernut surpasses bananas in potassium content, making it an excellent regulator of blood pressure and a muscle protector. It's packed with C, E vitamins and antioxidants (rutin) that help combat cellular aging. Tigernut also stimulates calcium absorption, is highly satiating, and rich in fiber.
Nettle, a small plant with high concentrations, contains almost twice as much iron as beef and is rich in protein. It features vitamin and mineral "combos" that enhance assimilation by the body, such as calcium + boron (boron helps fix calcium in the body) and iron + C vitamin (iron is fixed with the help of C vitamin). Nettle leaves are often used to relieve arthritis and rheumatism as well as to calm hay fever (allergic rhinitis). The WHO also recommends nettle for preventing and treating bladder issues (like kidney stones, for example).
Sunflower seeds contain nearly all B vitamins and the precious D vitamin. They have an exceptional content of polyunsaturated fatty acids: 22% monounsaturated, 66% polyunsaturated, and only 12% saturated fats.
Fenugreek seeds are among the most beneficial seeds. Antiviral, anti-inflammatory, rich in antioxidants, they promote satiety and improve the assimilation of other nutrients. A real gem! For more information, read our dedicated article on the blog.
Spices invigorate, strengthen, and stimulate. The sensation of warmth activates the body, providing a boost during moments of temporary fatigue and enhancing our immune defenses. The potent antioxidant effect of the ginger + turmeric combo strengthens the cells of our body and combats the harmful effects of oxidative stress.
This combination also has anti-inflammatory properties, potentially relieving pain associated with mild inflammations such as those experienced by individuals suffering from arthritis, rheumatism, lumbagos, uveitis, and other chronic diseases.
These spices, used in Ayurveda for centuries, offer numerous other benefits that contribute to the overall well-being of our body.
Buckwheat contains most of the essential amino acids in good proportion. It's richer in arginine, aspartic acid, and lysine, with levels nearly three times higher than other grains (study here). Proteins account for 10% to 12% of its dry weight, slightly more than wheat.
Buckwheat is a source of various nutrients: copper, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, zinc, B1, B3, B9 vitamins... It actively contributes to the proper functioning of our body's mechanisms.
Nervous system, intestinal transit, anti-fatigue, bone density, production of red blood cells... buckwheat is a little gem for our body!
Based in Brittany, in Ploemeur, Armand devotes all his energy to producing super healthy and super tasty raw foods. He tries to source his ingredients from Brittany (such as seaweed, hemp, or spirulina) and works with local partners for products that come from afar. Naturally, an exclusive collaboration was formed with Biovie. Armand shares his journey:
"I became interested in living foods early in my life, in my twenties, after reading the book 'The Biogenic Life' by Edmond Szekely. At that time, I was intensely practicing yoga and was eager to understand the principles of harmonious eating. I became fascinated with the activation and sprouting of seeds.
After several Ayurvedic stays in South India, I became particularly interested in the body's regeneration potential. Following health issues in my family, I sought solutions to help them reform their diet. From this experience came the motivation to create raw food compositions to ease the transition to a living food diet; a cornerstone for a return to health.
There are many ways to benefit from good nutritional intake, and I wanted to gather the main recommendations and simplify their use through nutrient and active ingredient concentrated preparations. I create blends that allow for simple preparation of instant mixes to be combined with raw fruits and vegetables, facilitating the transition to a living food diet.
My 7-year experience as a restaurateur has given me the skills to create a food production laboratory. I develop my recipes with rigor, with taste and texture obviously at the very heart of my approach.
I regularly host workshops in my laboratory on plant milks, sprouted seeds, and lacto-fermentation."
