Do you want to easily and effectively create your own growing system, right at home?

This training is for you if you want to learn how to sow, transplant, and care for your plants with love to achieve fabulous harvests, even with very little water.

    > Hydroponics is an ancient technique that dates back to the Incas. In France, it has been used for many years by the agri-food industry to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, and peppers found in supermarkets. It involves growing plants with their roots in water, without soil support (but you will see that there is still some support).

    > Depending on the type of nutrient chosen to feed them, it can also be referred to as mineral hydroponics, bioponics, or aquaponics.

    > Nowadays, hydroponics is developing alongside soil-based cultivation and artisanal micro-farms. Indeed, it allows for greater flexibility and more ecological production. Quality is prioritized over quantity.
This technique allows urban dwellers to make use of unoccupied spaces and green the city, particularly in non-fertile areas.
It also enables countries with arid or polluted lands to feed themselves more easily and strengthen their food autonomy, notably in the French overseas territories and some countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.

    🧑🏻‍🏫 THE INSTRUCTORS:

Marion and Nicolas Sarlé have been managing the microfarm Les Sourciers since 2013, located in the heart of the Gers region. Since 2015, this hydroponic microfarm has also been a training center for professionals and enthusiasts of this cultivation method.
They cultivate herbs, edible flowers, microgreens, and heirloom tomatoes on 600m2. Over the years, hundreds of rare varieties have developed on their land, and more than 800 students have successfully trained in ecological hydroponic production, as well as in bioponics, aquaponics, and microgreens cultivation.
If you're in the area, feel free to visit them; they regularly organize guided tours of their farm!
