Ecology, social justice, and natural health have been part of my life since adolescence. With a father and grandfather who were bakers, and a Dutch mother, I did not grow up in a family environment very open to these approaches to life. The two dietary pillars of my childhood were dairy products and all possible and imaginable derivatives of flour, which my father explored in every detail, being among the very first best craftsmen of France in the 1970s.

After two years in medical school, my studies in agricultural sciences, ten years as a part-time employee (and a part-time homeschooling dad for 4 years) in an association of organic producers in Burgundy, the desire to strike out on my own professionally has become very strong. I was also motivated by the desire to leave Yonne, a region known for its wine and meat, to move to a Mediterranean department where fruits and vegetables are much more readily available locally.

At the time, I was given a box set of audio cassettes in English from the coach. Anthony Robbins. I started listening to these tapes one after the other on my eldest daughter's Fisher Price rechargeable battery cassette player, as I no longer had any other cassette player at home. I had never followed a coach, Anthony Robbins was not present with me in the house, did not call me. Nevertheless, his advice helped me a lot, his voice was reassuring and gave me confidence.

So I took actions regarding My business creation project for importing automatic sprouters which went from a vague, improbable idea in my thoughts to a rational process broken down into successive steps to be taken, each small step being easy to implement. In one month, my ideas were much clearer. In two months, the process was underway. I also set financial goals for the company's revenue at 500,000 euros in the medium term, which at the time seemed completely crazy and impossible to achieve. We ultimately achieved four times that goal with 2 million euros in revenue.

I greatly benefited at the time from what I call "beginner's luck," or the application of the saying "God helps those who help themselves."

What is beginner's luck exactly ?

In 2004, I had the desire to meet Brian Clement, the director of theHippocrates Wellness Institute, He had done a lot of research on plant-based and raw food. At that time, with young children to take care of and working part-time, I didn't have the financial means to travel to the USA to meet him. So, I decided to organize a training session in France with him. He is someone who travels around the world for a good part of the year, and he seemed completely unreachable and uncontactable. Friends had already tried in vain to bring him to France.
Not receiving any responses to my emails, I decided one Monday to pick up my phone and call the institute in the USA. The secretary answered, then transferred me to another person who then transferred me to Brian Clement's assistant.

I was able to talk to her and share my project with her, and she informed me that coincidentally, Brian Clement was coming to Europe with two weekend dates, when participants were most easily available: one weekend in London and the other weekend in Barcelona. He was available for five days in the middle of the week between the two. Incredibly surprised by this proposal, I decided to block the dates.
Months later, when I met Brian Clément at the train station arriving from Paris, he explained to me that the day I had called, I had spoken to his new assistant. She had just started her job that very day, and she had thought I was a regular contact, so she had easily added me to Brian Clément's schedule. If I had called the previous Friday and reached his experienced assistant, she would have simply turned me away !

Another beginner's luck is that when importing containers from Easygreen automatic sprouters From the United States, I had based all my forecast calculations on the euro/dollar exchange rates in the market at the time the project was initiated. My project was not based on any market research, nor on any proven business skills, and was solely the result of strong motivation. No bank would have agreed to support me without solid elements. So, I turned to my parents, who agreed to lend me the sum of €20,000 to start the project, a sum I planned to repay within the year, setting the bar very high because I hate being dependent.

In reality, at the time of paying for the second container, I benefited from the best historical exchange rate since the creation of the euro, an incredible rate of 1.56 USD for 1 EUR., a rate that has never been seen again since. This means that I paid for my containers much less than expected, and Biovie was able to be profitable from the first year. I was able to repay my parents who had trusted me with this project.

In reality, I am deeply convinced that when we take action and stay focused on our goals, everything works together to help us succeed. Without the contribution of coaching fromAnthony Robbins "at that moment in my life," I think that I wouldn't have had enough energy to get out of my condition as a part-time employee earning 800€ per month, and as a dad homeschooling the other half of the time. 20 years later

Society has evolved significantly over the past 20 years, with a vast number of resources emerging and the scarcity of information transforming into an overabundance in which it is difficult to navigate. Numerous coaches, in the American style, promise incredible results in a short amount of time, thereby reflecting well-established social illusions fueled by influencers and social media. I always advise Anthony Robbins, nevertheless there are now competent people in France and in the French language.David Colom is a friend who is one of those people. The first time I met David in 2019, he was living with his family in Thailand.
