Did you know ? "Methi" is the Indian name for fenugreek! As a vegetable, herb or spice, it is essential in Indian cuisine as well as in Ayurvedic herbal medicine. Indeed, it is one of the seeds with the most complete properties: hypoglycemic, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, galactogen, aphrodisiac, cardiovascular protector ... it still acts as an anabolic and improves the assimilation of proteins!
The recipe :
(For a plate)
- 1 large handful of sprouted fenugreek seeds
- 1/3 cucumber, finely cut into quarters
- 1 diced tomato (or cherry tomatoes cut in half)
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1 small handful of raw cashews
- coriander
The sauce:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp of marine plasma
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 dash of lemon juice
- pepper
N.B. The salad will also be delicious with young fenugreek shoots! You can you add a bit of apple to balance the bitterness.
