Prepare a coconut water kefir!

Kefir strengthens the immune system and acts as a natural probiotic: it's an excellent health drink that is easy to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • About 1L of coconut water
  • 2 dried figs
  • 20 g of kefir grains
  • 40 to 45 g of sugar
  • 4 slices of organic lemon

The recipe:

  1. Place the kefir grains in a large container (airtight bottle), add the sugar, figs, lemon slices, and then the coconut water. (optional: you can add a few slices of ginger)
  2. Close the bottle and leave at room temperature for at least 24 hours (when the figs rise to the surface, the kefir is ready).
  3. Strain the drink to remove the figs, lemons, and grains. Bottle it again for 24 hours at room temperature.
  4. The next day, place the bottle in the fridge and enjoy!

Kefir can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 days.
